It was a blast taking these Baker Beach lifestyle pregnancy photos of this expecting couple. The expecting was meticulous from her wardrobe selection to styling her hair for the weather that day. In case you were wondering, it was forecasted to be super windy in San Francisco so she decided to put her hair half-up to keep it looking to blown out. It was a genius idea actually. As an aside, having hair whipping around the wind is my favorite and I don’t mind the blown-out look at all. But some clients are skittish about this so the half-up option is perfect for windy weather.
Anyways, having had their engagement photos and then wedding photos taken she was more than ready for her maternity photos. I just loved the connection between her and her husband. Lots of smiling and laughing during our time together. It was bliss.
Oh, and it was spring when I photographed this couple. So when we arrived at the woods location I noticed a patch of wildflowers growing. It was small but that’s all we needed! I was so excited by this because it was unexpected. And I had never seen wildflowers grow here, or maybe I just didn’t notice, not sure. I loved being able to include the wildflowers into their photo session since that’s part of their story: being pregnant during spring and starting and raising their family in the Bay Area (they’re from Walnut Creek).
They were planning on bringing their dog, but I guess she was being sassy earlier that day so they decided against it. Guess I’ll need to wait to meet their furry child at the newborn shoot. 🙂
Enjoy these Baker Beach lifestyle pregnancy photos! I know I sure do and I’m so excited to meet their little baby boy for his close-up.
