You’ve booked your maternity shoot and now you need to choose your outfit. For some expecting moms this will be a fun experience to find the look you want for your photos. Or you might be dreading picking out wardrobe and need some inspiration to figure out how to put it all together. Either way, having a maternity style guide is so helpful in getting you and your partner prepared and looking great for your upcoming photo shoot. That’s why I created this robust maternity style guide with 35 pages of inspiration, tips and real-life examples of the looks. Plus, you can shop all the looks I’ve put together or find similar items online by clicking the included links.
The emphasis in my artwork is focused on the connection between people so you can see the beauty you feel through imagery.
To compliment that, having a wardrobe that is photogenic and matches your spirit is the perfect way to elevate your experience at your photo shoot. From boho to classic to modern chic – I have ideas for every style that will photograph beautifully.
Many of the looks seen in the maternity style guide were provided LoveVerity, who collaborated with me on wardrobe and styling (clothing LoveVerity provided are noted in the guide for shopping reference). LoveVerity has an easygoing and playful style perfect us California mamas. Now, I want to mention that LoveVerity isn’t a maternity clothing store. The trick to purchasing non-maternity specific clothing is to size up and make sure the bodice is high waisted and the cleavage doesn’t plunge too low (because the fabric will gather at the top of your belly where the plunge line is and it’ll look messy). At the end of the guide I’ve listed my favorite retail stores for shopping.
