I had the privilege of photographing this precious 1 month old baby girl at her home in Potrero Hill, San Francisco. She was so chubby and responsive at 1 month old I couldn’t believe it. She was very curious about me and my camera but was totally up for some fun.
Finding a room with good light was easy in their house and we were lucky because it was the master bedroom. I loved the way their bedroom looked, very minimal with a lovely paint color. It was rainy and overcast that day but there was still enough light filtering through the windows.
When I spoke with the mom on the phone about her baby – family session, she said she really wanted to capture “moments” in their house. Glimpses of their lives. Snuggling on the bed makes up a lot of that so it was the perfect place for us to work together.
The mom had the cutest outfits for baby girl too. I loved the vintage dress and the knitted blankets. So unique and fitted baby girl’s porcelain complexion. Baby girl refused to go to sleep which was fun for me since she was such a doll and wanted to coo at the camera the entire time. The parents however really wanted her to nap so we could get at least a few of her asleep. Baby girl finally puttered out for a short snooze right at the end of the session. There were so many great portraits of this 1 month old baby girl and her parents I just stuffed this blog post with all my favorites. No holding back today!
