This week’s Featured Session is from:
Tell us a little bit about your session!
In Northern California the mustard flowers bloom from about Dec. – March. These flowers are especially prominent in the grape vineyards in Napa and attract local and tourist alike to see their beauty. This expecting mother was no exception. She lived in Napa, CA and was obsessed with these flowers when they bloomed. Given that the timing for her pregnancy photos was right when the mustard flowers bloomed in Napa Valley it was a no brainer to take her photos in a nearby field. She works for a hospitality company in the area and just loves this time of year. I wouldn’t put it past this mama if she secretly planned her pregnancy around this time of year just for this reason. During this expecting mama’s session the sun was dipping behind the Mayacamas Mountain Range with just a few beams hazing through. It was soft and beautiful. Total bliss.
Mama wore an ornate and gorgeous long dress from Free People that looked stunning. Luckily her belly could fit in it but I can’t promise it’s not a bit stretched out after this session since it’s not a maternity dress. She sent me a picture of her outfit prior to our session and while I normally don’t recommend clothing with lots of patterns, this dress fit the location perfectly. It had a natural bohemian vibe that paired well with the yellow flowers.
She did an outfit change into a cute and timeless cream dress to take photos with her husband. Perfection!
