I absolutely loved working with this gorgeous expecting couple during their maternity session. I walked into the lobby of their Pacific Heights victorian era complex and immediately fell in love with the signature crown moldings. I have been living in my newer complex for so long I almost forgot how beautiful these older buildings are. I stepped inside the mini elevator that had a metal gate for a door, crossed my fingers it was still in good working order and pressed their floor number.
Perfectly Perfect Maternity
Everything in their home was perfectly perfect. The expecting mom made mention of having OCD, I wouldn’t disagree! I mean her bed looked like a showroom bed in Bloomingdales. I always assumed no one really made their beds to look like that because it must be impossible to make everyday. But I was proven wrong!
Her husband was nice enough to help me rearrange their guest room so I could photograph her in front of these gorgeous windows.
The husband is native to Holland but he didn’t have a thick accent having lived in the United States for numerous years. I could hear it, but couldn’t place it until I asked. The mom is from southern California and is sweet as pie.
I loved photographing her and them together in their guest room and around their neighborhood because come March they’re moving to southern California to be closer to her family. These photos are a timeless memory of where they started their family and of the home they lived in.
Pregnancy is such an intimate and special time. I loved photographing her perfectly round bare belly and capturing their connection together. This is true love people! Creating a life and sharing in the that love is so special.
