Love me some father-daughter portraits. Especially when it’s my family! My husband’s daughter visited us during the holidays and I wanted to make sure to get some pictures of her with her dad’s family. I also took portraits of her by herself which you can peep on my last blog post.
When people think of California they think of beaches and surf boards. Ocean beach in San Francisco isn’t warm, at least not right now, but it has sand and surfers. So off we went to take family portraits. Grandma came along as well as little brother. They all got in on the action.
I just love the sandy dunes with the sand grass (or whatever it’s called). Even our dog Taz came along for the fun. If you look closely her tail photo bombed one of the photos haha, little stinker! It was pure coincidence, but grandma showed up in a blue sweater that matched my son’s all blue get-up. We picked out my husband’s clothes to match Sara’s – I thought they looked so cute together. I think my favorite photo of the bunch is the one of the both the kids with my husband and Sara is kissing my son. They’re so cute in that moment – I just love it.
As the sun set lower, I loved the warm colors that sparkled off the grass and sand. Sara took off running to the beach to take some selfies (we gifted her a selfie stick – it was awesome) at the surf.
Our time with Sara never feels long enough. We’re looking forward to our next visit with her in 2016!
